Accessibility Statement
DAMD Recovery is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. DAMD Recovery strives to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website.
Accessibility Features
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Use Tab to navigate, Enter to activate, and Escape to close dialogs and menus.
Screen Reader Support
Our site uses semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading hierarchy to ensure compatibility with screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
High Contrast Support
We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text) and support high contrast mode for users with visual impairments.
Reduced Motion
Animations are automatically reduced or disabled for users who have enabled "reduce motion" in their system preferences.
No Audio Auto-Play
We do not auto-play audio or video content. All media requires user interaction to play and includes controls for pausing.
Skip Links
A "Skip to main content" link is available for keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation and jump directly to page content.
Technical Specifications
Our website relies on the following technologies for accessibility:
- • HTML5 with semantic markup
- • WAI-ARIA for dynamic content and advanced UI controls
- • CSS with prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-contrast media queries
- • JavaScript with keyboard event handlers for interactive elements
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not be fully accessible:
- • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible
- • Third-party content embedded from social media platforms
- • Maps and location services from third-party providers
We are actively working to address these limitations.
